Our Approach
The workshop
Bosc Design was born in the architecture studio at 38 boulevard Victor Hugo, in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Arthur and Jean Bosc — brothers and partners — have spent years designing spaces, and then the objects that inhabit them.
Every piece begins with a reflection on three things: material, light, use.
The approach
We don't design an object to be noticed. We design it to be right — so that it sits well in the hand, catches the light the right way, and stays for twenty years without anyone wondering why.
The editions are small. That is a chosen constraint. The materials are noble — chestnut wood, stone, ceramic. The workshops that make them are selected for their craftsmanship.
The link with architecture
Bosc Design objects are made for the houses the studio designs. And for every other one. They work because they were conceived at the scale of a real space, not a product page.
